Oi! So an entrepreneur I know, Brian Vidovic, is opening a gaming bar in Vancouver British Columbia called EXP Bar + Restaurant. It is going to be awesome but they have run into a problem...
The BC liquor laws say 'the use of gaming consoles outlined in red on the official floor plans is prohibited.' The problem with this is that their entire bar/restaurant is in this red zone. The reasoning for the BC Liquor Board saying it is prohibited is, it distracts from food service. I recently read the interview with ShogunGamer & Brian click it and read it because I am too lazy to post the full thing here and give credit. In this interview they have a dialog about the exact reasons for for the ban of videogames in bars and what EXP Bar + Restaurant is doing to change it.
So sign this petition and help them get gaming in their establishment.
