Happy International Bacon Day!

Yes, the day we've all been waiting for. Well, maybe all of you geeks out there. Sadly, I wasn't even aware of today's significance, and I am all out of bacon in my home. I thought of throwing some spam into a frying pan, but it just seemed a bit pathetic. Google's Public DNS, It's Time to Switch. [FIXED]

So today I switched my DNS from my default to Google DNS. What does this mean? It means faster interwebs (plural because there are more than one), improved security, and no redirection.

I find this video 100% awesome! I love how Hank dumb's down the key parts of life. And now, that I think about this, this should be removed from the internet, RIGHT NOW! As soon as we are invaded all they will have to do is watch this video and know how to take us over!

Geeks are Sexy posted an article today about a new ground-breaking method of organ transplantation-- keeping the organ (such as a heart) functioning while in transport. Compared to the method of packing the organ in ice in coolers during transit, this will allow for better matching of organs to patients, and therefore less chance rejection.

TODAY: DC Relaunch

Well, if Lumberjack Films say it's going to be okay, then it must be! Then again, that's what people have been saying about Anne Hathaway playing Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, but I still have my doubts. She may look smokin' hot in that one picture, but it's going to take more than a mouthful of drool to win me over. As for this video, they lost my faith when they said Aquaman was going to be cool. Seriously?

These awesome Atari jewelry boxes come from Instructibles user annahowardshaw, and if I wouldn't lose appendages making it, I'd have one in an hour. Or a few days. Maybe a month. Nevermind.

Mari0: Mario meets Portal

This is legit, people. Super Mario Bros. and Portal, mixed into one fantastically wonderful game. It's like the maple bacon of game mash-ups. Stabyourself game studios is working on Mari0, where you can co-op with as many friends as you want and portalize your way through the classic game.

WTF Lucas: If it ain't broke, why ruin it?!

So, I'm genuinely mortified by what I've been hearing about the new blu-ray Star Wars Trilogy that's coming out on September 6th. Now, Badass Digest has confirmed that Vader lets out an unbelievably unnecessary and climax-killing "Noooooooo!!" as he picks up the Emperor at the end of Return of the Jedi. Sorry if that was a spoiler for you...but if you've never seen the movie, you really don't deserve to be on planet earth.

Geek Zodiac (Pic)

This one came up a while back, but I was feeling jealous of all of Volum3Plus's infographics. TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME! Anyway, this thing makes me more confused about my identity than when the real zodiac signs changed dates in 2011. I mean, who wants to be a pirate? Really? What are we, hipsters? All I know is, it really tells you how old you are if you have to zoom in to find your birth year. That's just rude, Geek Zodiac.

Everybody loves a good magic trick. Personally, I'm not sure if I would categorize what this guy does under "magic", but it is still entertaining. He seems more like a master of sleight of hand, perhaps even a master of twirling video screens in a pleasing manner. Video after the jump.

I knew it was going to be bad, but not THAT bad. There was jiggling and nipple-rubbing...and now I just feel the kind of dirty where even diving into an active volcano wouldn't clean me. The Foo Fighters got buck naked in a new video, and for some reason I watched the uncensored version.
