Mmmmmmm Brine!

And I'm not talking about the skrimps! For those of you who have never had it, it is A M A Z I N G. The first time I had brined turkey I was at my brothers, juiciest turkey I ever done had (southern accent)! Then I got my Canadian friend some brine, Canadians love brine. Now enough playing around, on to the seriousnesses of turkey brining. More after Le Yump!

Introducing Eyemail: Next up, Mom's Eyephone

Now scientists are working on a contact lens that allows you to have your email sent directly to your eyeball. Not even joking. Didn't these guys SEE that Futurama episode? I know how this goes. First you're enjoying an overly internet-connected life, then you're a zombie. Well, at least they're only making zombie rabbits so far. I kinda want one of those. And a chocolate zombie bunny. Those things look tasty.

Why Star Wars is better than Star Trek

A rebuttal to Techie G's post as to why Star Trek was better than Star Wars. And Carrie Fisher, I will call him Han Solo if I ever meet him.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Foods for the Holidays

Ever sat down to your holiday meal and thought to yourself, "This food could use a little more geeky awesomeness" ? Well, the epic people at Neatorama have collected a bunch of links to sites with recipes for delicious fantasy and sci-fi foods you can serve to your geeklings (or freeloaders) on special occasions, like breakfast and dinner. Every day. Who doesn't want to have Lembas bread to keep them full on their long trips there and back again? Perhaps you'd rather eat butterbeer with your Wookie-ookies?

Whatever your tastes are, they probably have something for you this holiday season. Check it out here.

A Lovely Day for a Star Wars Wedding

I've seen other Star Wars weddings, and I'm constantly wondering why I don't know anyone this epic. This one was really dedicated to detail...except for the fact that Anakin is getting married to his daughter. Confusing? A little bit. But their costumes look awesome.

Here it comes: The last binary day of the Century

11.11.11.

I have been waiting for this day for the past thousand years. Sure, it may actually be 11.11.2011, but if you're really bothered by that 2, I say you're annoying that's splitting unnecessary hairs. I mean, come on, I doubt anyone was pointing out when the last ENTIRELY binary day was. You can bet your sweet muffins I would have though. 11.11.1111 would have been the coolest day ever for me in my small feudal village, hanging out with my ancestors.

So make sure you party it up tomorrow. We won't be celebrating another binary year in our lifetimes, and our geeky progeny will envy us when we tell them about all of the stupid stuff we did to celebrate.

Gamer's Commute

If the game world was IRL, I am sure this is how I would get to work too.
